Focus of the technology courses

Lübeck is one of the leading locations in the field of biomedical engineering. Together, the University of Lübeck and the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences offer the international Biomedical Engineering (BME ) Master's degree program. The program is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in research, teaching or industry. The focus is on the combination of technology and medicine - from molecular basics to innovative procedures, implants and medical devices for diagnosis, therapy and health promotion.

The Master's course in Hearing Acoustics and Audiological Technology (HAT) is a joint Master's course of the University of Lübeck and the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and aims to impart in-depth knowledge in the field of acoustic signal processing, audiological measurement technology and auditory perception, as required in hearing research, the development of technical hearing aids and the optimization of acoustic transmission systems.

The Medical Engineering Science (MIW) course is aimed at anyone who is interested in the interface between technology and medicine - the decisive factor is an interest in interdisciplinary issues. The course teaches both technical fundamentals and medical expertise in areas such as imaging, signal processing and photonics. In this way, complex challenges, for example in the development of imaging procedures, can be understood and solved in a targeted manner.

The international Master's degree course in Medical Microtechnology (MMT ) combines the strengths of the University of Lübeck, Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and SDU Sønderborg in health, technology and life sciences - and promotes German-Danish cooperation in medical technology. The focus is on miniaturization, e.g. in minimally invasive surgery or implantable drug delivery systems. Sensors and actuators open up new avenues in diagnostics and therapy.

Robots and autonomous systems are revolutionizing production processes and other procedures worldwide. If you want to do more than just watch how the world around us is changing, the Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) degree course is just right for you. Take on responsibility and help shape the future!
