- PY4205-P: Research Internship 2 (practical course, 6 SWS)
- PY4205-Ü: Research Internship 2 (exercise, 2 SWS)
Workload:
- 120 hours in-classroom work
- 30 hours private studies
Contents of teaching:
- In-depth theoretical and practical experience in the research of psychological, psychosomatic, and neuropsychological diseases and their psychotherapeutic treatment
- Quality criteria of scientific studies in a psychotherapeutic context
- Quality assurance of therapist behavior in therapy studies
- Collaboration in planning and execution of scientific studies on clinical research
- Planning of own scientific studies in the field of research of mental, psychosomatic, and neuropsychological diseases and their psychotherapeutic treatment
Qualification-goals/Competencies:
- Students will be able to plan and conduct their own studies to research psychological, psychosomatic and neuropsychological disorders and their psychotherapeutic treatment.
- Students know essential quality criteria in the execution of scientific studies and can implement these in their own study design.
- Students are familiar with measures that serve to acquire psychotherapeutic skills from study therapists and contribute to the quality assurance of therapists behavior and can take these into account in study planning.

The internship is carried out in one of the working groups within the University of Lübeck. Exceptions can be made by arrangement.

- Active participation
- Research internship in one of the research groups of the University of Lübeck, in a psychiatric or psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic or corresponding university outpatient clinic
- Work on an individual topic with poster and presentation
